Reports suggest that the model numbers V2502A/DA and V2509A belong to the upcoming Vivo X300 series, which is expected to debut by the end of September in China. While the V2509A was recently spotted on Geekbench with the Dimensity 9500 chip, the V2502A/DA had earlier bagged radio certification. Now, according to a report by XpertPick, the V2502A/DA has received approval from the CMIIT certification platform in China.

The certification screenshots confirm that both the V2502A and V2502DA have been approved by China’s MIIT authority. The two devices are essentially the same, with the V2502DA offering support for Beidou-3 short messaging via satellite connectivity, while the V2502A lacks this feature.

This satellite support hints that the device could debut as the Vivo X300 Pro, though the final marketing names of the V2502A/DA remain unconfirmed.

The CMIIT listing’s source code reveals that the phones will run on Android 16, likely customized with OriginOS 6 in China. It also confirms a 6,375mAh rated battery, which should translate to a typical capacity of around 6,500mAh.

The Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are expected to be the first smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9500, which is rumored to launch on Sept. 22 in China. Leaks suggest that the standard X300 may feature a compact 6.3-inch display, while the X300 Pro could offer a larger 6.8-inch screen.

Separately, Vivo is also said to be working on the X300 Ultra, which may debut next year with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. While the X300 and X300 Pro are expected to see a global launch shortly after their China debut, it remains unclear whether the X300 Ultra will be released outside China.
